Mental Health Resources

The FZN crisis counselor, Ms. Andrea Travers, helps students and student families with a variety of topics including but not limited to resources for housing, food, clothing, mental health assessments, outpatient group counseling sessions, individual group counseling sessions, and psychiatric services. If you know of a family or your family is in immediate need of housing assistance please contact coordinated entry through United Way by dialing 211. 

 

In addition, Ft. Zumwalt North High currently has the Panther Pantry which provides food to students over the weekend. If your child or you know of a child who would benefit from utilizing the Panther Pantry please contact Ms. Travers by calling 636-272-4447 or by email at atravers@fz.k12.mo.us. Below you will find a handful of resources that are useful when working with students and student families. 

 

If you are concerned about the mental health needs of your child or your child's friend, please do not hesitate to contact your child's counselor or Ms. Travers. If you are concerned about the immediate safety of your child or someone you know, please call 911 and or take your child to the closest emergency room. In addition, Behavioral Health Response (BHR) can be reached 24/7 to address mental health needs and can be reached at 314-469-6644 or 1-800-811-4760. Further, the Suicide Prevention Lifeline operates 24 hours a day and can be reached at 1-800-273-8255. Locally, Youth in Need collaborates with BHR to provide emotional support to youth 24 hours a day through the St. Charles County Youth Connection Helpline which can be reached at 636-642-0642 or 855-642-0642, by text message through texting BSAFE to 31658, or by chat at www.stcharlescountykids.org
